Since we are currently in Week 49 of 2023,  we are starting “Prints of the Week” at #49. All these prints are available to vote for in the Thangs Maker League contest.  Please check out all the great prints shared by the Thangs community.  While there, consider giving our makes a like! Print #1 – Cthulhu Head by Fotis Mint

I am a huge fan of Cthulhu.  So when one of my favorite designers, Fotis Mint, released this print, I knew I had to print it.

Overall this was a great print. If I were to print  this again, I would add some tree supports to the bottom of the tentacles.  This would help to make them look a little cleaner.

Filaments used: PrintedSolid Jessy Tan, Atomic Filament Emerald Pearl Swirl and Prusament Galaxy Black.

Print #2 – Moonlight Santa String Art by 3dPrintBunny

3dPrintBunny is quickly becoming one of my favorite modelers. I find her string art designs mesmerizing. This specific print, I opted to for a 3 filament swaps in order to get the desired effect. I placed a remote controlled tea light behind to help enhance the print.  I’m a big fan of these lights.

Filaments used: Paramount3D Autobot Blue, Printbed White and Printbed Black filaments. 

I placed a small remote control tealight behind it to give the lighted effect in the image.

Print #3 – Snow globe Votive Ornament – Xmas Town by RetroMaker

If you have followed RetroMaker for any amount of time, you should be no stranger to his Snow Globe Votive Ornaments.  I believe his original design won last years Printables Christmas contest. This design features a small town with a large Christmas tree in the center. The bottom of the ornament holds a tea light. The screw in cap keeps the light in place while also allowing you charge/replace batteries.

Filaments used: Printbed White filament.

Print #4 – Christmas Star Bauble Display Tree by 3dPrintBunny

Another 3dPrintBuddy model. This time it’s a great Christmas Tree holder for one of her beautiful Christmas Baubles.

Filaments used: FilamentOne Glint Evergreen, and FilamentOne Glint Gold

Print #5 – Christmas Wreath Bauble Display by 3dPrintBunny

Another 3dPrintBunny model this week. A beautiful Christmas Wreath holder for the Christmas Bauble above.

Filaments used: FilamentOne Glint Evergreen, Printbed Red, Fillamentum Rapunzel Silver
